Na obra observamos em primeiro plano a família, em segundo plano os corvos e em terceiro plano a paisagem (cenário). No conjunto sigo essa mesma ordem, o livro representando a família em primeiro, o livro representando os corvos (morte) em segundo e o livro representando o cenário em terceiro.
